Homemade curd dumplings

The dumplings are an old traditional Slovenian dish the whole family will enjoy. The Žito homemade curd dumplings are prepared with filo dough and stuffed with curd filling. They make a perfect meat side dish, but can also be served as a salted or sugared main dish.

Weight: 400g and 1,000g

Cooking time: Put the frozen dumplings into lightly salted boiling water. Simmer them for 20 to 25 minutes and be careful not to overcook them. When cooked, drain them immediately. Lard them and serve them as a main or side dish. You can prepare them as a salty side dish or a sweet main dish.
Baking: Put the frozen dumplings into a greased baking tray. Bake them in a preheated oven for 45 minutes at 180°C. Before baking, you can coat them with a mixture of sweet or sour cream and lightly beaten eggs and sprinkle them with grated cheese a few minutes before you finish baking them.
