Thin filo pastry

Thin filo pastry in a roll will make the preparation of various rolls easier for any cook. Due to its thinness, the dough is also suitable for preparing baklava. Because it is very elastic it does not tear nor break despite its thinness and because it is coiled into a roll the preparation of dishes is easier. The roll contains 11 sheets which should be sufficient for the preparation of most desserts.

Spread a mixture of melted butter and milk on each sheet and add a sweet or salty filling. Form a roll and place it on to a greased baking tray. Grease the roll with melted butter and bake it in a preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes at 200°C.


Baklava is a world-wide known oriental dessert prepared with filo pastry and walnut and honey syrup filling. Because it is very sweet, serve it with a glass of water.
